Custom-made for York Bakery, this lighting installation is part of a retail intervention to showcase their iconic cookies. Integrating technology and design, we developed an innovative solution that functions as both ambient lighting and a product display system.
Manufactured using sustainable additive manufacturing (large-scale 3D printing), these translucent tubes feature a parametric geometric texture that diffuses light evenly. Each modular column has integrated supports and openings, designed to individually hold the cookies, which are inserted inside and perfectly framed by the light. The internal lighting creates a gradient color that highlights both the material and the different types of cookies.
This project demonstrates the potential of digital manufacturing to generate personalized and functional design solutions for the retail sector, creating innovative and attractive spaces in the city of Santiago.
